What is in the toolbox
The tools fall into three groups. The date tools work out your exact age, the weekday you were born on and the time left until a trip, a wedding or the last day of school. The random pickers flip a coin, roll dice, spin a wheel, draw numbers and split a group into teams. The family tools estimate a pet's age in human years, the blood types a baby could have and a child's likely adult height.
Each tool has its own page below the tool itself, with a plain explanation of how the result is worked out, so you know what you are looking at instead of trusting a black box.
- Dates: age calculator, day of the week you were born, countdown to a date.
- Random picks: spin the wheel, flip a coin, roll dice, random number generator, random team generator.
- Family: dog and cat age in human years, baby's blood type, child height predictor.
Your information stays with you
Every calculation runs inside your own browser. Birthdays, names on a wheel and parents' heights are not sent anywhere and nothing is saved, so closing the tab clears it all. That makes the tools comfortable for things like a kid's birthday or a list of coworkers.
The only thing a tool reads from your device is the clock, for tools such as the countdown, and the browser language, which sets the names of weekdays.
How the random tools stay fair
The coin, dice, wheel, number and team tools draw from the secure random generator built into modern browsers, the same one used for cryptography. Each outcome is equally likely, and one result has no influence on the next. The spinning animations are just for fun and do not change who or what gets picked.
These are meant for everyday choices such as picking a restaurant, settling who goes first or splitting a pickup game. They are not meant for betting, raffles with money on the line or lottery numbers.
Estimates versus exact answers
Dates and probabilities are exact: an age in years, months and days follows the calendar, and a fair die really does land on each face one time in six. Pet age, baby blood type and child height are different. They are based on common rules of thumb or inheritance patterns, so treat them as friendly guesses and ask a vet, a doctor or a blood test when the answer matters.
Questions people ask
Are these tools free to use?

Do the tools save my birthday or my lists?
No. Everything is calculated in your browser and discarded when you close or refresh the page.
Can I trust the random results to be fair?
Yes for everyday use. They come from your browser's secure random generator, so every option has the same chance each time.
Do the tools work on a phone?
They are built to work on phones, tablets and computers, and you only need a modern browser.
